
Description of the project
It is implemented within the framework of the ENI Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program financed by the EU.

The main purpose
Promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources through education and practical activities in communities to support sustainable use of the environment in the border regions of Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
Expected results
Improving the regional situation regarding the sustainable use of the environment in the cross-border area through effective and innovative energy solutions in communities, provided as a result of cooperation with universities and professional institutions. A strategic approach to energy efficiency will be introduced, and measures aimed at improving energy efficiency will be coordinated on the sides of the EU border and outside the EU.
Main activities:
Raising awareness of environmental protection and the use of renewable energy among residents of 12 communities from 4 border regions (3 communities from each country).
Energy concept development, including new concepts for renewable energy solutions for 12 pilot communities. Increasing the potential of environmental protection and the use of renewable energy among residents of 4 border regions.
Trainings for the staff of the Energy Training Center and laboratories on energy efficiency and renewable energy (10-12 people). Increasing the potential of universities based on the developed energy efficiency of university buildings and campuses.
According to the results of the trainings, 12 technical and economic justifications will be provided for 3 communities in the OTG and 2 buildings of the UzhNU.
Increasing the potential of environmental protection and the use of renewable energy among the group of participating students of Ukraine Development of a study guide and tourist guide of successful energy solutions in the region.
Development of research on energy audits and energy management using new technologies and innovations for local communities and locations;
As part of the CBC Energy Concept, a number of new solutions will be proposed for pilot communities (2 UzhNU buildings) Installation of a system of solar panels and heat pumps for heating the premises and heating the water in the pool of the UzhNU sports and health complex.
